There is nothing more beautiful than the concept of the Hebrew wedding. Through out Scripture, we are referred to as 'the bride' and we know that Yeshua is the bridegroom. The Hebrew wedding is the sign of His people coming to Him.
Chatan = Groom
Kallah = Bride
For the ceremony, it is a custom for the bride and groom to not see each other and might mikveh before the ceremony. It is also custom for both parents to walk the bride down the aisle.
The Concepts of the Hebrew Wedding may include:
The Blowing of the Shofar
The Hakafot - Circling of the Groom
The Marriage Covenant
The Seven Blessings
The Salt Covenant
The Exchanging of the Rings
The Blessings of the Bread and Wine
The Aaronic Blessing
The Announcing of Man and Wife
The Smashing of the Glass
The Yihud / Seclusion
The Raising of Husband and Wife in the chairs with joyful dancing of the bridal party.
